REGULATORY INFORMATION Regulatory Requirements REGULATORY INFORMATION REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has established rules that permit the PBX to be directly connected to the telephone network. A jack is provided on party lines or coin lines. The telephone company may make changes in its technical operations and procedures. If such changes affect the compatibility or use of the PBX, the telephone company must provide ade- quate notice of the changes.

The equipment must also be installed using an acceptable method of connection. When doing such a procedure, the installer must perform the procedure with caution, to prevent dam- age caused by static electricity (See “Static Electricity Guard” on Page 39).

During the battery installation process, the warning statements must be observed.
