Undocking your computer

The system supports hot docking and undocking.
Do not disconnect the computer from the port replicator while an application is running, when the
Docked light is off, it is safe to disconnect.
To disconnect a computer from the port replicator, follow the steps below:
1. Make sure the Port Replicator lock switch on the port replicator is set to the unlocked position.

2. Press the Eject button on the port replicator. The Docked light will turn off.
3. After the Docked light on the port replicator turns off, pull the Eject lever towards you to release the
computer from the port replicator.

4. Lift the computer off of the port replicator.

Securing your port replicator

The security lock slot enables you to connect a security cable (not provided) to help prevent
unauthorized removal of the port replicator.
Follow these steps to secure port replicator:
1. Attach your security cable (purchased separately) to a desk or other large object, following the
instructions included with your security cable.
2. Set the Port Replicator lock switch on the port replicator to the locked position.
3. Insert the lock end of the security cable into the port replicator's security lock slot.
4. Turn the key or set the combination on the end of the security cable.
