HP Smart Storage Administrator

HP Smart Storage Administrator (SSA) is an advanced utility that enables you to perform many
complex configuration tasks. Previously, other HP configuration utilities, including Array
Configuration Utility and Option ROM Configuration for Arrays, were recommended for storage
configuration. The HP SSA provides improved configuration performance, additional configuration
features, along with enhanced diagnostic and reporting capabilities.
Although ACU is still supported, HP SSA is the replacement starting with HP ProLiant Gen8 servers.
NOTE: The HP Smart Array P731m controller is supported only by HP SSA.
