About the Lens Image Stabilizer
The procedure explained here is based on the EFoS18o55mm f/3.5o5.6
IS lens as an example.
* IS stands for Image Stabilizer,
* The EF-S18-55mm f/3,5-5 6 II lens does not have an Image Stabilizer.
Set the iS switch to <ON>.
_ Set the camera's power switch to
<ON>.
_ ress the shutter button halfway.
_J The Image Stabilizer will operate.
::_.,_ Take the picture.
_ When the picture looks steady in the
viewfinder, press the shutter button
completely to take the picture.
*_ The Image Stabilizer is not effective for moving subjects.
The Image Stabilizer may not be effective for excessive shaking such as
on a rocking boat
The Image Stabilizer can operate with the focus mode switch set to
either <AF> ol <MF>.
If the camera is mounted on a tripod, you can save battery power by
switching the _S switch to <OFF>.
The _mage Stabilizer can opera-ee even when me camera is mounted _)n
a monopod.
Some IS lenses enable you to ,switch the IS mode manually to suit the
shooting conditions. However. the EF-S18-55mm ft3.5-5.6 IS tens
switches the IS mode automatically.
