You can configure various call options.

Sending a message
You can create and send messages to your contacts using the Messages
app.
• See your service plan for applicable charges for text messaging (SMS)
and multimedia messaging (MMS).

Tap Start chat.

Tap the To field and enter a contact' s names, phone numbers, or email
addresses that you' d like to message. You can also pick from your top
contacts or your whole contact list.

Tap the desired number or contact.

Tap the text field and enter your message.
• To enter a emoji, tap
selection from the list to insert it into your current message.
• Tap to attach a multimedia. It will change to a multimedia
message (MMS).
