Problem
Hot water may burst
out from the spout.
Water is dripping from
the bottom of the
body.
The hot water has a
strange smell.
Shiny white or brown
substances are
floating in the hot
water.
Rough milky white
substances are
adhered to parts
inside the body.
The sound of water
boiling has become
very loud.
A clicking sound is
heard a short time
after use.
The appliance is taking
a long time to boil.

Cause
● Is the water level above
the maximum water
level?
● Since the appliance is designed to sense steam and
turn off the power switch, the steam may condense into
water droplets and flow out from the bottom of body.
● Depending on the amount of chloride contained in the
water supply, there may be a residual chalky smell.
This is scale.
Scale is more likely to be
generated when using
water with a high mineral
content.
• Mineral water.
• Water from ionic water
purifiers.
● Scale causes the sound to
become louder when it is
built-up.
This sound is made when an internal heat component
is cooled down.
This is not malfunction.
Did you boil with the lid
open?
Scale is built-up.
If the water is very cold, the appliance will take longer
time to boil.
