DV Camcorder
You can use this unit's remote control most
camcorders that support the DV interface.
Connect the camcorder to the DV IN using a
Digital Video (also called 1394 or Firewire) Cable.
Press the INPUT SELECT key and use the 4/I*
keys to select DV. Press ENTER.
Press the REC key on the front panel or on the
remote control to record starting.
You can now control the DV camcorder with this
unit's remote. Available functions are: PLAY,
STOP, FF/FR and PAUSE.

Recording TV programs
You can easily record from your TV.
Press the POWER key on the remote control to
turn on the unit.
Insert a recordable DVD-R/DVD-RW/DVD-RAM
disc.
Press the INPUT SELECT key on the remote
control and select the Tuner input.
Press the/k or Y keys to select the channel
you wish to record.
Press the REC key to start recording. Recording
continues until you press STOP or when the disc
is full. The RECORDING icon appears on-screen
to indicate the recording has begun.
When you stop a recording, a new Title is created.
Press STOP to end a recording. The STOP
RECORDING icon appears on screen.
After a few seconds, the new Title have
you
just recorded is closed. The RECORD SUCCESS
icon appears on screen.
You can pause the recorder during a Recording.
Press PAUSE key to temporarily halt recording.
The PAUSE RECORDING icon appears on
screen.
Press REC key to resume recording session.
At this point, recording has started with no specific
end time, so you'll have to press the STOP key to
manually end the recording. Alternatively, you can
specify the length of the recording in 30 minute
intervals by pressing the REC key repeatedly.
Press REC key repeatedly to set the of
length
the recording in 30-minute intervals. Choose
Timed Rec OFF if you don't want to specify a
recording length.
To play a DVD disc recorded on this unit, you
must finalize the disc to ensure compatibility with

View useful information using DISPLAY.
Press DISPLAY while The Display
recording.
Menu appears as shown. When the DVD-RW
disc is recorded, see below information.
Title:
_) Disc Type - Disc format: DVD-R (Video),
DVD-RAM (VR), DVD-RW (VR or Video).
O Date and Time - The system date and time.
Title - Displays Current Title and Total Titles.
_) Audio Mode - Type of audio track being
recorded.
O Chapter - Displays the Current and Total
Chapters.
Input source - Displays selected input source.
Record Mode - Displays recording quality
setting.
_1 Title - Displays the length of the Title currently
being recorded on the disc.
Note
• The unauthorized recording, use, distribution, or
revision of television programs, videotapes, DVDs
and other materials, is prohibited under the
Copyright Laws of the United States and other
countries, and may subject you to civil and/or
criminal liability.
• Depending on disc condition, pressing the REC
button may take several seconds to start recording.
• The recorder may take several dozens of seconds
to finish recording, if a loaded disc contain a large
number of titles or chapters.
