1. Safety precautions
On the inverter and in its instruction manual, important information is described to prevent injury to you
and other people around you as well as to prevent damage to property in the area and is intended for
proper use of the device. Read the instruction manual attached to the inverter along with this instruction
manual to thoroughly understand the safety precautions and observe the items described in these
manuals.

Indicates that errors in operation may lead to injury (*1) to people or that these errors may

Meanings of symbols
Marking
Indicates prohibition (Do not do it).

Indicates something mandatory (must be done).
What is mandatory will be described in or near the symbol in either text or picture form.
Indicates warning.
What is dangerous will be described in or near the symbol in either text or picture form.
Indicates caution.
What the warning should be applied to will be described in or near the symbol in either text or
picture form.
■ Limits in purpose
- Never use the option with any device other than applicable TOSVERT series inverters.
This will result in accident.
Prohibited
■ Handling in general
- Never disassemble, modify or repair this unit. This will result in electric shock,
fire or injury. For repairs, contact TOSHIBA distributor of purchase.

- Do not place or insert any kind of object into this unit (electrical wire cuttings, rods, wires and
so on).
This will result in electric shock or fire.
Prohibited
- Do not splash water over this unit. This will result in electric shock or fire.
- Turn off the power immediately in case any abnormality such as smoke, smell or unusual
sounds is found. If the inverter is continued in operation in such a state, result will be fire.
