    Chapter3Settings Switch Settings The switches for the operation mode and station address are found in the front panel of the EN655 module.     3.1 Switch Settings 3.1.2 Operation mode setting switch (MODE) The switch for operation mode setting is an 8 bit DIP switch. It determines the operation of the EN655 module. REMARK ・ For the settings, use a small flat-blade screwdriver (tip width:2.0~2.5mm thickness: 0.5~0.6mm).

    Chapter3Settings Network Parameter Settings The network parameters are set using the Operation Mode setting DIP switch as well as the Station Address setting switches. Refer to “Table 3-1 Station Address setting” and “Table 3-2 Operation Mode setting” for details on how to configure the said switches.

    3.2 Network Parameter Settings 3.2.2 Station Address Station Address is configured using the Station Address setting switches. The Station Address can be set freely to any value, given that the address is unique within the system. Values from 01(h) to FE(h) can be set. Using the engineering tool, set the IP address under the EN655 parameter settings.

The digit in the lowest part (1 to 254) sets the Ethernet station setting switch value in EN655’s front panel.

    3.4 Network Information Network information 3.4.1 MIB information EN655 provides MIB information. There are two ways to read the MIB information, (1) by connecting the engineering tool through Ethernet via the type1 light controller and (2) by connecting a USB cable to EN655’s maintenance connector.

EN655 acts as a communication interface for the type1 light controller and supports the USEND_N and URCV_N instruction words. By utilizing the USEND_N and URCV_N instruction words, communication applications of the type1 light controller are possible.
