Which functions does the SINUMERIK Software Update Tool contain?

The "SINUMERIK Software Update Tool Vx.y.usz" contains the following functions:
● Check the available memory space on the USB stick
● Create an NCPLCDRV archive of the initial state of the CNC
● Create a CF card backup of the initial state
● Update the CNC software version by means of a file specified by the user (*.tgz)
● Automatic update of the PLC boot code on the NCU as required
● Read-in the archive data after upgrading the CNC software version
● Create an NCPLCDRV archive of the CNC state after the update
● Create a CF card backup of the state after the update
● Creation of a LOG file of the package progress
You can use the created CF card backups to restore the machine state at the time of creation.
When these tools are executed, the CF card is completely written and the corresponding
archive is automatically read into the CNC.

Select and start tool

the tool.
