Trouble-shooting a wireless site

User-oriented problems

Despite a careful planning before installation and configuration a site may encoun-
ter unforeseen events.
We have collected a list of symptoms and remedies.
This section describes problems due to system settings. The user might be able to
solve such problems without requiring a service visit to the site:
The card does not work in any door
Check the authorization (in the Entro program in the PC)
The card is blocked because of three attempts with wrong PIN. Activate the
card again
Check if some other person's card work.
If yes – substitute card or correct authorizations
If no – this indicates a system error. See event log.
The door settings are not correctly configured in the Entro.
The card is broken and has to be substituted.
The card does not work in a wireless door
Investigate the overall door status in the PC program and correct any errors.
May indicate a technical problem. See section 10.2 Technical problems in
earlier working site.
The card does not work in some doors
Check the authorization (in the Entro program in the PC)
Check if the buzzer or LEDs are activated in some way.
Check batteries.
May indicate a technical problem. See section 10.2 Technical problems in
earlier working site.
