Troubleshooting Guide
If the rice cooker does not function properly or if the cooking quality is insufficient, refer to the table below.
Malfunction
Indicator light does not
go on.
Electric heating
plate is not warm.
The warm light
does not go on
when the cooking
process is finished.
Rice is not cooked
or cooking time is taking
too long.
Rice is too hard or too
soft.
Rice is scorched.
The rice cooker
does not
automatically
switch to keep

Possible Causes
• Circuit of electric rice cooker is not
connected to power supply.
• Power wiring board is damaged.
• Circuit connection breaks down.
• Master circuit board is damaged.
• Electric thermal tube is burnt out.
• The light is defective.
• Not enough water is added.
• Cooking time is insufficient.
• The inner pot is not properly in
contact with the heating elements
• Possible foreign matter between
the inner pot and heating element.
• Electric heating plate is damaged.
• Not enough or too much water
has been added.
• The rice has not been rinsed well.
• Master temperature controller is
defective.
• Master temperature controller is
defective.
Solution
• Check that the switch, plug and
socket, fuse and leading wire of the
power supply are in good condition
and properly connected to the
mains and if plug is inserted firmly
into the wall socket.
• Take your appliance to an
authorised service centre for
maintenance.
• Add water according to the scale
on the inside of the inner pot.
• Press down the control lever to
start the cooking process.
• Make sure there is no foreign
residue on the heating elements.
• Take your appliance to an
authorised service centre for
maintenance.
• Add water according to the scale
on the inside of the inner pot.
• Rinse the rice until water runs clear.
• Take your appliance to an
authorised service centre for
