OR REMOVE THE GROUNDING PLUG. If you do not have
a three-prong electric receptacle outlet in the wall, have a certified electrician
install the proper receptacle. The wall receptacle MUST be properly grounded.
20. Hydrogen gas may be produced if the water heater has not been used in more
than 2 weeks.This could be explosiveunder certain circumstances. I f this is the
case,before using this appliance turn on all the hot faucetsand let the hotwater
run for a few minutes.Thiswill let the trapped hydrogen escape.During this
processdo not turn on an electricappliance, smoke,light a match/lighter or use
a flame to avoid an accident, as hydrogen gas is flammableand can explode.

or spottedwith gasoline, dry-cleaning solvents,or other flammable or explosive
substances, a s they give off vapors that could ignite or explode.
