THROTTLE BODY AND INTAKE MANIFOLD

REMOVAL
1) Relieve fuel pressure according to fuel pressure relief procedure
described in section 6.
2) Disconnect negative cable at battery.
3) Drain cooling system.
WARNING:
To help avoid danger of being burned, do not remove
drain plug and radiator cap while engine and radiator are
still hot. Scalding fluid and steam can be blown out under
pressure if plug and cap are taken off too soon.
4) Remove air intake hose.
5) Disconnect following electric lead wires:
_ EGR valve
_ Ground wires from intake manifold
_ Manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor
_ Engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor
_ Injectors lead wires at the coupler
_ EVAP canister purge valve
_ Throttle position sensor
_ Idle air control valve

4. Intake manifold stiffener (Front)
5. Engine hook
6. Fuel delivery pipe
7. Throttle body

10. Manifold absolute pressure
(MAP) sensor
