DISASSEMBLY
GENERAL REMARKS
Before
disassembling
the unit, spread
a soft rubber
mat
or a cloth
on the
workbench
to avoid
scratches
and
grease
stains.
Do not use a material
which is likely to cause static elec-
tricity
because
the transistors
and
ICS may
be easi Iy
damaged
by it.
When
mounting
the P. C. Board,
confirm
that the leads,
resistors,
capacitors,
etc.,
do not contact
the function
mechanism
such as gear
or belt. Also
refer
to the Ex-
ploded Views.
Reassemble
the unit, noting the kinds of screws,
the sol-
dering
and arrangement
of the leads.
Refer
to "Circuit
Diagram
and Exploded
Views"
for correct
assembly.
Before disassembling
the unit, take out the cassette
tape
and the batteries
CABINET BOTTOM REMOVAL
1.
Remove
six screws
(1 -6)
fastening
the Cabinet
Bottom
and detach the Bottom Cabinet
by lifting it.

Carefully
detach the Bottom Cabinet
because
three leads
(black,
red and white)
are
connected
from
the battery
terminals
on the Bottom Cabinet
to the P. C. Board.
If nec-
essary,
unsolder
their leads from the P. C. Board.
3.
Reassemble
in reverse
order.
P.C. BOARD REMOVAL
1,
Detach
the Bottom
Cabinet
by following
the instructions
for it and unsolder
the Speaker
reads
(white
and blue),
motor leads (red and white)
and power switch
leads (or-
ange and blue) from the P. C. Board.
2.
Remove
the screw
(7) fastening
the P. C. Board and detach
the Top Cabinet
by raising
it in the direction
of the arrow.

3.
Remove
the P. C. Board
by lifting it in the direction
of the
arrow
noting the lead wires.
4.
Reassemble
in reverse
order.
CASSETTE MECHANISM REMOVAL
1.
Open
the Cassette
Compartment
Lid and
removal
the
screw
(8). Then detach the P. C. Board by following
the in-
structions
for it.

Remove
four screws
(9 -
12) fastening
the Mechanism.

Detach
the Mechanism
by lifting it in the direction
of the
arrow
noting the lead wires.
4.
Reassemble
in reverse
order.
