CONVERTING TO INTERNAL
PRESSURE FEED
If the material to be sprayed is too
heavy for siphon feed or fast
application is desired, the spray gun
may be converted to pressure feed by
the following procedure:
1. Unscrew and remove cup from
gun.
2. Unscrew the shroud retaining
sleeve (25) until the shroud (21) can
be pulled down and is free to rotate
(approximately ¼").
3. Rotate the shroud until the
pressure arrow is facing forward
away from the handle and hand
tighten the shroud retaining sleeve.
DAMAGE. WHEN THE GUN IS
OPERATED AT PRESSURE FEED
WITH THE CUP ATTACHED, AIR
PRESSURE MUST NOT EXCEED
50 PSIG.
CONVERTING TO REMOTE
PRESSURE FEED
1. Unscrew and remove cup from gun.
1. Shut off fluid flow through gun by
turning fluid needle adjusting screw
(12) clockwise as far as it will go.
Do not force.
2. Keep the air pressure as low as
possible. Set pressure to 40 psi as
a starting point.
3. Open (turn counterclockwise) air
valve assembly (6) until the first
thread is flush with the back of
gun. This is the full open position.
4. Hold the trigger (17) back and
gradually open the fluid needle
adjusting screw (12) until a desired
pattern is obtained.
5. Trigger the gun quickly, one second
on-off. Spray a small test pattern.

2. Unscrew the shroud retaining sleeve
(25). The fluid tube, compression
ring, and shroud can now be re-
moved from the gun. To avoid loss
and damage the small parts should
be stored in the cup and the shroud
assembled to the cup.
3. Install (SSF-9821-PB) thread
forming screw (included with spray
gun) into the small pressure port
located on the surface where the
shroud gasket seats. The screw
should be tightened until the shoul-
der contacts the spray gun body.
(See Fig. 1)
4. The spray gun is now ready to be
connected to any pressure feed
tank with a standard 3/8" straight
pipe female connection.
OPERATION
6. If the gun sprays too fast (runs or
sags), lower the air and fluid
pressure. If too slow, increase
pressure. Adjust to balance
pressure.
When using internal mix air cap, begin
with the same air and fluid pressure.

too far, it may leave the gun
forcefully when the gun is triggered.
The "O" ring may also be damaged.
Do not turn the valve out past the
first thread--there will be no effect
on the spray pattern after that
position.
