2.1.2 Hardware Settings
In the following cases, setting BIOS Setup Utility is required before OS installation. For details on how
to set BIOS Setup Utility, refer to "7.2 BIOS Setup Utility" ( pg.193).
When changing boot drives
To change boot drives, start up BIOS Setup Utility, select the [Boot] menu, and then change boot drives.
For details on how to set boot drives, refer to "7.2.4 Boot Options Submenu" ( pg.198).
When installing Windows Server 2008 (64-bit) by using ServerStart
When installing Windows Server 2008 (64-bit) by using ServerStart and saving configuration files on a
floppy disk, be sure to change the boot priority order as described below in BIOS Setup Utility before
starting ServerStart. Unless the order is changed as described below, automatic installation may be
interrupted. Make sure to change it.

Turn on the server, and start up BIOS Setup Utility.

Select the [Main] menu – the [Boot Options] submenu, and press the [Enter]
key.
The Boot Options submenu screen appears.

Specify the [Boot Sequence] as "Hard Drive" takes priority over "Diskette".

Exit BIOS Setup Utility, and turn off the server.
