    NOTE: The pick and roller counter can be reset on the host PC depending on the operating system you are using. Check your Fujitsu scanner operator’s guide for instructions. Step One: Replacing the Pad Assembly Clear the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) of any documents.
  • Page 5 Push the ADF cover release button and open the ADF cover to the front. Be careful that the open cover does not close on your hands during this process. Remove the original pad assembly by gently pushing in the knobs on the top of the pad assembly and then pulling it up and out towards you.

    Step Two: Replacing the Pick Roller Clear the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) of any documents. Remove the ADF paper tray from the scanner. Push the ADF cover release button and open the ADF cover to the front. Be careful that the open cover does not close on your hands during this process.

  • Page 8 D) Lift the original pick roller upward to free it from the shaft. E) Remove the pick roller from the shaft by lifting up the tab and pushing the roller away from the retaining key towards the end of the shaft. Attach the new pick roller: A) Slip the new roller onto the shaft and align the tab with the retaining key.

    II. fi-4120C/fi-4220C Cleaning Instructions Fire or electrical shock may occur when cleaning any of the equipment’s consumables. Disconnect the AC adapter power plug from the outlet. Step One: Cleaning the Exterior Surfaces and Document Support Open the flatbed cover. Use a dry cloth or a cloth moistened with F1 Cleaner and gently wipe the glass.

    Step Two: Cleaning the Automatic Document Feeder *For the Fi-4120c & Fi-4220c Clear the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) of any documents. Push the ADF cover release button and open the ADF cover to the front. Be careful that the open cover does not close on your hands during this process.

    C) You will see the four feed rollers begin to turn slowly. D) Hold the cloth against each roller as it turns to clean them. Plastic Rollers: Gently clean these four rollers with a dry cloth. Paper Guide (white surface): Gently wipe the surface with a dry cloth.
  • Page 12 Clean the glass surface and the white document holding pad with a soft dry cloth or a cloth slightly moistened with F1 Cleaner. NOTE: Do not allow any liquid or moisture get inside the scanner during cleaning. Leave the cover open for five minutes to allow it to dry. Close the flatbed cover.
