If the cordless handset is not to be used for a long time, remove the battery and store it carefully.

Pull the battery connector from the battery compartment in a direction perpendicular to the battery
compartment; otherwise the battery cable or the battery socket may get damaged.

Remove the battery cover by sliding the cover down.
Insert the battery provided in box into the battery compartment according to the
preceding figure.
Plug the battery connector into the receptacle in the battery compartment along the
direction indicated by the relevant arrow.
Replace the battery cover by sliding the cover up until it snaps in place.
Remove the battery cover by sliding the cover down.
Pinch the battery connector with your fingers and remove it from the battery
compartment along the direction indicated by the relevant arrow.
