Wi-Fi Connection

Lost or intermittent Wi-Fi connection
Reason.
The gateway is not cabled to your router.
If microwave oven is on, it can disrupt Wi-Fi service.
2.4 GHz cordless telephones can interfere with the Home Security Touchscreen Wi-Fi
connection because they operate at the same frequencies as the Home Security
Touchscreen and other devices on a LAN.
Resolution.
Connect the gateway to your router.
Turn off the microwave oven. No need to unplug it.
If you determine that your cordless phone is interfering, you can:
Change the location of the Home Security Touchscreen or the base of the
cordless phone.
Switch the channel on the access point. If that does not work, try another channel.
Note:
Note: Many 2.4 GHz cordless telephones operate with what is called
frequency hopping technology. This technology utilizes the entire frequency
range also used by 802.11b, 802.11g, and 802.11n wireless devices. Changing
the channel of the access point might not fix the interference problem.
Operate the phone with the antenna lowered, if that is an option.
Use a phone that is not a 2.4 GHz phone.
