Mezzanine cards

7.1.1

Basic information

One or two mezzanine cards can be installed in a BX920 S3 server blade.
Additional Fibre Channel, SAS, Ethernet and/or Infiniband I/O channels can be
set up using these cards.
All mezzanine cards have the same form factor.

The mezzanine cards are fastened on a special carrier and then connected
together with the carrier to the system board.
The figure below shows the two kinds of unpopulated carriers for mezzanine
cards. All installation/removal procedures are identical for both carriers.
