Low Oil Pressure Indicator and
Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)
The low oil pressure indicator ( ) flashes
and the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL)
( ) lights when engine oil pressure is low

enough to cause engine damage.
The low oil pressure indicator should also
flash and the malfunction indicator lamp
(MIL) should also go on when the ignition
switch is turned ON. The malfunction
indicator lamp (MIL) stays on and the low
oil pressure indicator keeps flashing until
after the engine is started.

If the low oil pressure indicator flashes
and the malfunction indicator lamp goes
on, pull safely to the side of the road.
