3. To use a private encryption key instead of the default key, follow these steps: a. Press the Security button on the back of the XAV1004 for no more than two seconds. The Power LED will start blinking after you release the button. Plug the new Powerline AV Ethernet Adapter into an available AC power outlet. Connect the Ethernet cable that came with the adapter to the adapter’s Ethernet port and an Ethernet port on the computer.
