Victor Company of Japan, Ltd. (JVC) will release the alneo XA-HD500 digital audio player featuring
JVC's unique K2 technology and the studio tuning for high fidelity reproduction of compressed music
files. The XA-HD500 has a built-in 1-inch hard drive and is capable of a world-leading approximately
30 hours of continuous playback.

1. Studio quality digital audio player featuring JVC's unique audio quality enhancing

The XA-HD500 is equipped with JVC's CC Converter to improve sound quality from
compressed audio files using JVC's unique K2 Technology for creating high-fidelity sound
and featured in JVC's Hi-Fi components. The CC Converter reclaims audio information lost
during compression to WMA or MP3 format, enabling a more natural audio playback
experience.
Victor Studio recording engineers, who are experts in music software for original master
sound recordings, have helped design the audio tuning in the XA-HD500, combining high
fidelity the inner-ear headphones that feature powerful neodymium driver units. The
recording engineers created audio quality that faithfully reproduces the intent of the artist.
