    If you pull the range out from the wall for any reason, make sure the device is properly engaged when you push the range back against the wall. If it is not, there is a possible risk of the range tipping over and causing injury if you or a child stand, sit or lean on an open door.

    Mark it for easy reference. Do not attempt to repair or replace any part of your range unless it is specifically recommended in this manual. All other servicing should be referred to a qualified technician.
  • Page 4 To minimize the possibility of burns, ignition of flammable materials and spillage, the handle of a container should be turned toward the center of the range without extending over nearby surface units. Do not store or use combustible materials, gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of this or any other appliance.

  • Page 6 READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING. WARNING! OVEN Stand away from the range when opening the oven door. Hot air or steam which escapes can cause burns to hands, face and/or eyes. Do not heat unopened food containers. Pressure could build up and the container could burst, causing an injury.
  • Page 7 WARMING DRAWER The purpose of the warming drawer is to hold hot cooked foods at serving temperature. Always start with hot food; cold food cannot be heated or cooked in the warming drawer. Do not use the drawer to dry newspapers. If overheated, they can catch on fire.

    HOT surface indicator light to come on. A WARMING ZONE indicator light will glow when the unit is on. Do not use plastic wrap to cover food. Plastic may melt onto the surface and be very difficult to clean. Use only cookware recommended for top-of-range cooking.
  • Page 9 Dual Surface Unit Control Knob The dual surface unit has 2 cooking sizes to select from so you can match the size of the unit to the size of the cookware you are using. To use the small surface unit, turn the control knob to the SMALL BURNER settings.

    Using the clock and timer. To Set the Clock CLOCK The clock must be set to the correct time of day for the automatic oven timing functions to work properly. The time of day cannot be changed during a timed baking or self-cleaning cycle.

NOTE: Foods that spoil easily—such as milk, eggs, fish, stuffings, poultry and pork—should not be allowed to sit for more than 1 hour before or after cooking. Room temperature promotes the growth of harmful bacteria. Be sure that the oven light is off because heat from the bulb will speed harmful bacteria growth.

    Cookware for Convection Cooking Before using your convection oven, check to see if your cookware leaves room for air circulation in the oven. If you are baking with several pans, leave space between them. Also, be sure the pans do not touch each other or the walls of the oven.

    Using the Sabbath Feature. (Designed for use on the Jewish Sabbath and Holidays) The Sabbath feature can be used for baking/roasting only. It cannot be used for convection, broiling, self-cleaning or Delay Start cooking. NOTE: The oven light comes on automatically (on some models) when the door is opened and goes off when the door is closed. The bulb may be removed.

    Adjust the oven thermostat—Do it yourself! You may find that your new oven cooks differently than the one it replaced. Use your new oven for a few weeks to become more familiar with it. If you still think your new oven is too hot or too cold, you can adjust the thermostat yourself.
