About Time Shift Buffer -
temporary hard disk storage
Once you press TUNER on the remote
control, the recorder begins storing the
TV programme which you are currently
watching. This temporary storage is
known as the 'Time Shift Buffer' and can
store up to six hours of live TV
programmes.
Note:
The Time Shift Buffer will be emptied in
the following scenarios:
– Press CAM twice to switch to DV IN
mode. OR,
– Switch the recorder off to standby
mode.
The Time Shift video bar displays the
status and timing of the TV programmes
stored in the Time Shift Buffer.

A The start time of the TV programme.
B State of the Time Shift Buffer:
{ LIVE } – The live TV programme
broadcast.
OR, { HH:MM } – The time of the TV
programme being viewed.

Viewing live TV

Turn on the TV. If necessary, switch the
TV to the correct input channel for
viewing the recorder's playback.

Press STANDBY-ON 2 to turn on
the recorder.
You should see the TV programme on
the TV. If not, press TUNER.

The TV programme which the
recorder is tuned to will automatically be
stored in the Time Shift Buffer. This
allows you to pause live TV and resume
playback any time.
