    Introduction Thank you for purchasing the ViviCam 7020 Digital Camera. Everything you need to take quality digital photos and videos is included with your camera. Please read this manual carefully first in order to get the most out of your digital camera.

    Preparing Your Camera for Use Battery Installation Your camera requires 3 AAA batteries. To insert the batteries into the camera: Slide and open the battery compartment at the bottom of the camera. Please make sure that the batteries are inserted with the correct polarity facing up. Close the battery door.
  • Page 7 When the “No Power” is displayed on the LCD, this indicates that your camera has an insufficient battery power level and will be automatically powered off. You need to download the sample photos and videos to your PC. If there is no SD card inserted before it powers off the photos and videos will be lost. Note: If you don‟t intend to use your camera for an extended period of time, please remove the batteries to avoid battery leakage and corrosion.

    Installing SD Memory Card Your camera has a memory card slot that enables you to insert an “SD” compatible memory card. Adding a memory card is needed for normal use and will allow you to increase the capacity of your camera before you have to transfer photos and videos to your PC.
  • Page 9 Note: An external memory card is required for normal use. Your camera supports a compatible SD memory card (up to 32GB). An SD Memory Card is not included and needs to be purchased separately. “Card inserted, change to card” will appear on the LCD screen when you insert the card indicating that photos and videos will now be stored on the SD memory card.

  • Page 11 Flash Your camera has a built in flash function which enables you to take photos when the light condition is not good. Press the Up button. The „Auto Flash‟ icon will appear at the top of the LCD indicating that the Auto Flash is turned on and ready to use.
  • Page 12 Digital Zoom function You can magnify your subject using the digital zoom. Use the T and W buttons to adjust the zoom. Press the T button to zoom in on your subject. Press the W button to zoom back out. PHOTO CAPTURE MODE MENUS Image Resolution Menu The default setting is 3M if no SD card is inserted.
  • Page 13 Press the Menu/OK button again to confirm your selection. The corresponding icon will appear on the top of the LCD screen. Press the MODE button to return to the Photo Capture mode. Note: Different image resolutions will affect the photo quality. High resolution photos will be of better picture quality and therefore will take up more camera memory capacity than lower resolution photos.

Anti-Shake Menu Your digital camera has a function that prevents photos coming out blurry as a result of trembling or shaking while the photo is being taken. This function allows you to take good quality photos even without the use of a tripod.
  • Page 15 Language Menu You can change the language setting on your digital camera. Press the Menu/OK button. Press the Up/Down button and select the LANGUAGE option. Press the Menu/OK button. Use the Up/Down button to select one of the following languages: English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Turkish Press the Menu/OK button to confirm and save your choice.

PHOTO CAPTURE MODE BUTTON FUNCTIONALITY Macro/Far Switch Macro/Far shooting allows you to capture objects at very close range (up to 80 cm) or very far distances. Slide up the Macro/Far switch on the left side of the camera to the position.
  • Page 17 Press the Down or Timer button. The timer icon will now appear instead of the camera icon on the top left corner of the LCD. Press the Shutter button. The camera will begin to emit beeps and a 10 seconds countdown appears on the LCD accompanied by a flashing red LED light.

    VIDEO CAPTURE MODE BUTTON FUNCTIONALITY Delete In Video mode, you can quickly delete the last video you have taken: Press the Right button. A Delete File message will appear on the LCD with a „Yes‟ or „No‟ option. The „No‟ option is selected by default.
  • Page 21 PREVIEW PHOTOS and VIDEOS In Playback mode press the Right/Left buttons to select and view your photos and videos taken. Photos:  “JPG” will appear on the LCD if you selected a photo. The resolution icon of the photo will appear on the bottom left corner of the LCD for each photo.
  • Page 22 PLAYBACK MODE MENUS Delete Menu You may delete images directly from the memory card on your camera. This menu can be accessed from both Photo and Video Playback Modes. In Playback mode, press the Menu/OK button. Press the Up/Down button to select one of the following options: DEL ALL - to delete all the files in your camera.

Now you can connect your camera to the PictBridge compatible printer for printing. Press the Shutter button to start printing the selected photo.

    Install the Vivitar Experience Image Manager Software Warning: Do not plug your camera into the computer until the software installation is complete. You must be connected to the internet to install and run the Vivitar Experience Image Manager software. Insert the installation CD into your CD-ROM drive. The installation screen should automatically open.

    SD memory card. We recommend always downloading your photos to your computer as soon as possible to prevent unintentional data loss. Q: I deleted images using the Vivitar Experience Image Manager. The image was also deleted from my computer. How do I recover images that I accidently deleted? All images deleted using the Vivitar Experience Image Manager are sent to your computer`s Recycle or Trash Bin and can be retrieved from there.
