DELAY
The Delay option can be used to
automatically s tartthecycleat a latertime
to reduce daytime heat buildupin the
home or to take advantageof reduced
energycostsif available in yourarea,
TO SET UPA DELAY:
1. Select the appropriate cycle and
options f or theload. Closethedoor.
2. Pressthe Delay pad untitthe desired
amountof delaytimeis selected.
3. TheDelayindicator andthecount d own
display(selectmodels) w ill flash until
the START/Cancel padispressed.
4. As soonas theSTART/Cancel p ad is
pressed, t heflashing willstopand the
delay time will begincounting down.
The Delay indicator willremainlit until
the delaytimehascounted down.
5. The cycle will automatically s tart as
soonasthe detaytime expires.
I If 30 secondselapse between
setting thecycleand options and
pressing the START/Cancelpad,
the dishwasher willturnoff.
TOCANCEL A DELAY:
When the delay is counting down,press
the Delay pad again. The indicator l ight
will go out and the cycle will start or
resumeimmediately.
1"OCANCELA DELAYAND CYCLE:
> Press STARTICancelonce to drain
andturnoffthe dishwasher.
Or
> Press START/Cancel twice to turn
dishwasher offwithoutdraining.
CONTROL LOCK OPTION
(select models)
The controltouchpads can be lockedto
preventunwanted use. If this feature is
activated betweencycles,the dishwasher
cannotbe operateduntilthe controls are
unlocked. If desired,the controlscan be
locked aftera cycleor delayhas started.
SEI"rlNGTHE CONTROLLOCK:
1. Pressthe Heated Dry pad for three
seconds.
2. An indicatorlight next to the lock
graphic will illuminate when the
controls are locked.
TO CANCEL:
1. Pressthe Heated Dry pad for three
seconds.
2. The indicator l ightwillgo off.
I Ifa cycleor option pad ispressed
after the controls have been
locked,the indicator l ightnext to
the lock graphicwill flash five
times. Onselected modelswitha
countdown display,the display
will flash an "L" simultaneous{y
with the lock indicator.

OPERATING TIPS
STAflTIHG THE D ISHWASHER
1. Afferloading t hedishwasher a edadding
detergent, selectthe desired c_e and
optionsby pressingthe pads. The
indicator l ightsfor the selectedcycle
and optionswill illuminate.To cancel
anoption pressthe padagain.
2. Close the door until it latchesthen
press theSTART/Cancelpad.After a
pause,the fillwillbegin. The display
countdown (select models) will flash
untilSTART/Cancel i spressed.
3, To cancel a runningcycle, press the
START/Cancel p ad.
4. To preventunplanned cycleor op_on
changes,theseselections are 'locked
in" after1 minute.
I If a cycle pad is pressed afterthe
controls have been "lockedin",
the light abovethe current cycle
willflash three times,
I If STARTICancelis not pressed
within 30 seconds, thedishwasher
willtum off.
ADDING AFORGOTTEN ITEM
For best cleaning, the forgotten item
should be addedearlyin the cycle.
1. Graspdoor handleand unlatch door
without opening completely.All lights
will flash to indicate thatthe cycleis
suspended.
2. Waitfor thewatercirculation t o stop.
3. Open the doorand add theitem.
4. Closeandlatch the deer.Ughts willstop
flashing whenthe door is properly s hut.
5. After a slight delay,the cycle resumes
automatically atthe paintofinterruption.
