his cooktop is designed for easy care.
owever, ceramic glass cooktops need
be maintained differently than standard
lectric coil elements. Foods spilled directly
n the cooktop will not burn off as on coil
lements. Because of this, the surface should
e dust-free and soil-free before heating.
The Cooktop Polishing Creme included
,ith your cooktop, paper towels or a sponge
all you need to clean your cooktop. For
roper cleaning methods, please review the
-low to keep your cooktop looking like new"
hart. Follow this chart after each use to en-
ure top performance and to preserve that
niquely elegant look.
NOTE: Let cooktop cool before cleaning.
• Activate control lock on electronic touch
control models (see page 8).
NOTE: (Note applies to models KECC507H
and KECC567H only.) Do not use Cooktop
Polishing Creme on the stainless steel
frame when cleaning. The polish will scratch
the stainless steel surface. If residual polish
should get on the stainless steel surface
during cleaning, wipe off with a damp cloth.
• Make sure all control knobs are turned to
OFF.
• Pull the control knobs straight off. Do not
remove seals under knobs. They keep
moisture and soil out of cooktop.
• Wash control knobs with sponge and
warm, soapy water. Rinse well and dry
with a soft cloth. Do not soak.
• Replace control knobs by pushing them
firmly into place. Make sure all knobs
point to OFF.
OTE: When cleaning, never use steel
'ool, abrasives, or commercial oven
eaners, which may damage the finish.
