LAWN MOWER

grease, leaves, etc. Store ina dean, dryarea.
• Clean e_re lawnmower(Sea "CLEANING"
in the Maintenancesec_onofthismanual).
• Lubricateas showninthe Maintenance
sectlenof thismanual.
• Be surethat all outs, bolts,screws,and pins
are securelyfastened. Inspect moving
partsfordamage,breakage and wear.
Replace if necessary,
• Touch up all nJstedor chippedpaint
surfaces;sandlightlybeforepainting.

You can foldyourlavmmowerhandlefor
storage.
• Squeaze the pottom ends ofthe lewer
handletowardeachotheruntilthe lower
handle dears the handle bracket, then
move handleIorward.
• Loosen upperhandlemountingbelts
enoughto allow upperhandleto be |tided
pack.
IMPORTANT; When folding the handlefor
storage ortransportation, be sureto foldthe
handle as shownor youany damagethe
controlcables.
• When setting upyourhandlefromthe
storage position, t he lower handlewill
automatically lock intothe mowing position.

FUEL SYSTEM
IMPORTANT: it isimportantto preventgum

blendedfuels( called
gesohol or esing ethanolor methasol)can

formationof acidsdudngstorage. Addicgas
can damagethe fuelsystemof an engine
whilein storage.
• Drainthefueltank.
• Startthe engineand let it rununtilthe fuel
linesandcarburetorare empty.
• Neveruse engineor cafouretorcleaner
products in the fuel tank or permanent
damagemay occur.
• Use fresh fualnext season.
NOTE: Fuel stabilizer is an acceptable
alternative in minimizing the formation of fuel
gumdeposits duringstorage. Addstabilizer to
gasolinein fueltankor storage container.
Always followthe mixratio foundon stabilizer
container.Run engine at least 10 minutes
afteradding stabilizer t o allow the stabilizer to
reachthe carburetor.Do notdrain the gas
tankand canburstor i f usingfuelstal_lizer.
