Troubleshootin
TO AVOID RISK OF ELECTRIC

If repairs are necessary,
and you
cannot eliminate the fault yourself
with the aid of the following table:

Turn the program
selector to
Off.
Q
Disconnect
the washing
machine from the power outlet.
Q
Turn off the water tap.

Call Customer
Service
(refer to Page 27).
Fault
The door cannot be
opened.
Door cannot be opened,
even though the
appliance has been
switched off and on
again.
Control lights do not light
up.
Program does not start.
Start/Pause indicator
light flashes.
Program does not start.
Indicator light "end" is lit
and display is flashing
"E:01"
Spin speed cannot be
selected.
Water does not enter the
machine or detergent is
not washed away.
Indicator light "spin" is lit
and display is flashing
"E:02" or "E:03".
Possible cause
"No final spin" selected.
Power failure.
Program is running and/or the door is locked for
safety reasons.
Plug is looseor not inserted.
Program selector turned to Off before end of
program.
For safety reasons the door has been locked because
the water level, temperature or speed is too high.
Action
Select Drain or Spin.
An interrupted program will be resumed when power
is restored. If the laundry is to be removed during
a powerfailure, call Customer Service
(refer to Page 27).
Wait until the program ends; see Page 22.
Eliminate the cause.
Select a program.
See "Add a garment/Interrupting the program",
Page 22.
A fuse has blown.
Power failure.
Start/Pause button not pressed.
Replacethe fuse of the individual circuit.
Call Customer Service if this fault recurs.
An interrupted program will be resumed when power
is restored. If the laundry is to be removed during a
power failure, call Customer Service
(refer to Page 27).
Press the Start/Pause button.
Check whether laundry is trapped in door.
Close the door (a click should be heard).
Program continues.
Select speed before spinning.
Door not closed properly.
Spinning is already in progress; during spin cycle the
speed cannot be changed.
Water tap(s) not turned on.
Supply hose kinked or pinched.
Strainers in supply hose clogged.
Water pressure too low.
Turn on water tap(s) and press Start/Pause button.
Program continues.
Eliminate the cause.
Cleanthe water inlet strainers; see Page 23.
Eliminate the cause.
