Before you call for service...

Problem
Ice cubes have
odor/taste

Possible Causes
Food transmitting odor/taste
to ice cubes.
Interior of refrigerator
needs cleaning.
Foods transmitting
odor to refrigerator.
Interior needs cleaning.
Not unusual during
periods of high humidity.
In humid weather, air
carries moisture into the
refrigerator when doors
are opened.
No power at outlet.
Light bulb burned out.
Normal air flow cooling
motor. In the refrigeration
process, it is normal that
heat be expelled in the
area under the refrigerator.
Some floor coverings
are sensitive and will
discolor at these normal
and safe temperatures.
A vacuum is created by a
tight seal around the door.
What To Do
• Wrap foods well.
•See Care and cleaning.
•Foods with strong odors should be tightly wrapped.
•Keep an open box of baking soda in the refrigerator;
replace every three months.
• See Care and cleaning.
•Wipe surface dry.
•Prevent too frequent or too long door openings.
•Defrost freezer when ice build-up is more than
1/4 –1/2 thick.
• Replace fuse or reset the breaker.

• Wait 15 seconds between door openings.
