Saving Battery Power with Auto Shut-Off

To save battery power, the camera automatically turns
off after a certain period of time. When the LCD
monitor is on, the camera turns off when idle for 30
seconds; when the monitor is off, the camera turns off
when idle for 60 seconds.
To turn the camera back on, press the
BACK button, or use the lens cover switch to turn the
camera off and back on again.

Checking the Status of the Camera

The display panel shows the current camera settings
and the status of your battery power.

Press the
to cycle from one setting to the other. You can select

Battery power
When your battery power is running low, the
low battery icon appears. This icon flashes
when your battery power is completely out.

display panel shows how many pictures you can
take.
