Troubleshooting

Whenever the system is not operating as expected, check the following tables to see if you can
resolve the problem yourself before requesting service.
Amplifi er/Speakers
Symptoms
No sound output.
No sound from the
headphones.
No sound from one of
the speakers.
No time display
The timer does not
work.
Tuner
Symptoms
No radio reception.
Interference (noise)
USB
Symptoms
No sound output when
USB fl ash memory or
a USB audio player is
connected.
Solution
Check all connections as described in <Connecting
the System>.
Increase the volume.
Cancel the MUTE setting.
Unplug any headphones plugged into the main unit.
Check that the headphone plug is inserted correctly.
Increase the volume.
Cancel the MUTE setting.
Check all connections as described in <Connecting the
System>.
Set the clock as described in <Setting the System
Clock>.
Set a start time and end time for the program timer.
Solution
Connect the antennas.
Select the correct band (reception mode).
Tune the radio to the frequency of the desired station.
Move the main unit, antenna, and AC adapter away
from each other.
Install an outdoor antenna away from roads.
Turn off any electrical appliances that may be causing
interference.
Move the system away from the TV.
Move the main unit, antenna, and AC adapter away
from each other.
Solution
Plug in the USB fl ash memory correctly.
Connect the USB cable correctly.
Check to make sure the USB audio player is turned on.
