    Do not crush or break the bulb. UV light bulbs contain a small amount of mercury. Note: Use only the UV light bulb supplied or a replacement UV light bulb ordered from Philips or Philips Authorized Service Centers. Note: To remove the UV light bulb, pull it out of the lamp holder. Align the pegs on the protective screen with the slots in the reflective surface of the sanitizer on either side of the UV light bulb.

  • Page 9 EnglisH Attach the brush head onto the appropriate brush head holder (see chapter ‘General description’). Attach the left brush head holder (L) to the left side of the center post until it clicks into place. Note: The brush head holders do not fit properly when you place the right brush head holder first. Always start with the left brush head holder. Attach the right brush head holder (R) to the right side of the center post until it clicks into place. Place the drip tray back into the sanitizer. Place the brush heads onto the brush head holders with the bristles pointing towards the UV light bulb.   • Page 10 EnglisH Usingtheappliance Do not place the travel cap on the brush head during sanitization. After brushing, rinse the brush head and shake off excess water. Place your finger in the door recess on the right-hand side of the sanitizer and pull open the door. Put the brush heads into the sanitizer (see chapter ‘Preparing for use’). Note: Make sure the bristles of the brush head face the light bulb. Close the sanitizer door. Note: The sanitizer does not work when the door is not properly closed. Put the plug in a live power outlet. Press the power on/off button to start the UV clean cycle.
  • Page 11: Cleaning And Maintenance

    EnglisH Cleaningandmaintenance Do not clean any of the sanitizer accessories in a dishwasher. Do not clean the sanitizer when the UV light bulb is hot. For optimal effectiveness, it is recommended to clean your sanitizer as follows: Unplug the sanitizer. Remove the drip tray, protective screen and the light bulb (see chapter ‘Before first use’). Thoroughly rinse the brush head holders and the drip tray with warm soapy water and wipe them clean with a damp cloth. Wipe the bulb, the protective screen, and all internal and external surfaces with a damp cloth. Let all items dry before you reinstall them. Reattach the drip tray, protective screen and light bulb (see chapter ‘Before first use’). storage If you are not going to use the sanitizer for an extended period of time, unplug it from the electrical outlet, clean it and store it in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.
