Check that the items received match those listed on the order form and packing slip. The HCD544 packing box should include, in addition to this user guide, one HCD544 camera, and an accessory package (5-pin power and LAMP connector and a lens connector). -

Installation Installing the Lens The HCD544 camera is factory configured for a CS-mount lens. Figure 1 demonstrates how to attach a customer supplied lens. Screw the lens into the front of the camera " body . An IR corrected Day/Night lens is recommended for this camera. -

Connecting the Camera Note Check the power source from the external power supply before applying power to the camera. Connect the VIDEO connector on the rear of the camera to the video-in connector on your monitor. Connect the camera to a 12 VDC or 24 VAC power supply (appropriate to your installation). -

Connecting LAMP Contact The HCD544 camera is equipped with LAMP and GND external contact terminals. When the LAMP terminal is connected to the GND terminal, the camera is forced into night mode (see page 15). It stays in night mode until the LAMP terminal is disconnected from the GND terminal. -

Mounting the Camera Mounting points are provided on the top and bottom of the camera and are used to mount the camera on a bracket or tripod. They are designed to accept standard sized mounting bolts. The mounting bracket must be capable of supporting the weight of the camera and its lens. -

SETUP Menu Functions Menu Item Description LENS Selects Lens type. Options: DC = Automatic Iris lens. Press ENTER with DC selected to adjust the brightness level. MANUAL = Fixed lens SHUTTER Adjusts shutter settings. Options: FLK = Flickerless mode reduces on-screen flickering. -

SPECIAL Menu Functions Menu Item Description CAMERA ID Sets a camera ID to be displayed on the monitor. See Adding a Camera ID Display. Options: ON = Display a camera ID. OFF = No ID displays. DAY&NIGHT Sets the Day/Night mode. See Programming Day and Night Modes. -

Menu Item Description FACTORY YES = Restores all factory default settings. DEFAULT NO = Does not reset to factory default settings. SW VERSION Displays the current firmware version RETURN Exits the SPECIAL menu; returns to the SETUP menu Adding a Camera ID Display You may assign a Camera ID to be displayed on the monitor. -

Select RETURN when you are finished. Menu Item Description POSITION Determines where the camera ID is displayed. Options: R.BOT = Right bottom L.TOP = Left top R.TOP = Right top NONE = No camera ID is displayed. Sets a camera ID to be displayed on the monitor (maximum 10 characters, including spaces). - Page 18 Menu Item Description DETECT TIME Sets the time (5~60, in 5-second increments) before the camera switches to day or night mode after detecting a switching threshold. Saving Settings Be sure to save your settings when you exit the SETUP menu.
