Breville Quiet Boil Technology Your Breville ikon™ Quiet Boil Kettle includes Quiet Boil Technology, a new development that will make boiling water in the kettle a quieter experience. please carefully read the following instructions how it works The innovative Quiet Boil Technology reduces the size of the water bubbles, minimising the noise level during heating. It is only at boiling point that a light bubbling noise can be heard which will indicate that the water has boiled. maintaining the Quiet Boil Technology Through regular use over time, scale can build up in the kettle that can affect the performance of the Quiet Boil Technology as well as the life of the kettle. Lime and Phosphate are common forms of scale that can damage your kettle. Lime scale, a harmless mineral, comes in the appearance of white, coloured or rusty-looking build up on the inner walls of the kettle. Phosphate scale can’t be seen, however, it can cause the water to appear cloudy when heated. To prevent scale from damaging your kettle, ensure that the kettle is de-scaled regularly. This is done by emptying the kettle after use and not allowing water to stand in the kettle overnight. We recommend the use of a proprietary de-scaler such as the Breville Kettle Cleaner to remove scale build up and stains. do not use vinegar to clean the inside of the kettle as it may affect the performance of the Quiet Boil technology. -
