Care and Cleaning
Always switch off at the power outlet and then
unplug the appliance from the power outlet
before cleaning.
Removable filter
The Breville Moda Kettle features a removable mesh
filter to filter out scale deposits for clearer water.
To remove the scale deposits, remove the filter by
lifting up and out of the kettle. The filter can be
cleaned by running under hot water and rubbing
with a cleaning cloth or brush. To replace filter,
simply slide the filter down into the slot behind the
spout of the kettle.
TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE APPLIANCE DO NOT USE ALKALINE CLEANING
AGENTS,WHEN CLEANING. USE A SOFT CLOTH AND A MILD DETERGENT.
NEVER IMMERSE THE KETTLE BASE,SWITCH AREA,POWER BASE OR POWER SUPPLY
CORD IN WATER,OR ALLOW MOISTURE TO COME IN CONTACT WITH THESE PARTS.

Removal of mineral deposits
Mineral deposits in tap water may cause the
kettle interior and water gauge to discolour
over time. We recommend the use of a proprietary
de-scaler such as the Breville Kettle Cleaner to
remove scale build up and stains.
Do not use vinegar to clean the inside of the kettle
as it may affect the performance of the Quiet Boil
technology.
To clean the exterior
The outside of the kettle may be wiped over with
a damp cloth and polished with a soft dry cloth.
Do not use chemicals, steel wool or abrasive
cleaners to clean the outside of the kettle.
