    DirectCD™. Both versions provide similar functions using different software programs. Insert the NEC CD-RW software CD into the CD-RW or combination CD-RW and DVD-ROM drive. The CD-RW software loads. Depending on the version of software that comes with your system or optional drive, one of the following screens appears: Roxio EasyCD Creator 5 Adaptec Master Setup.

    See the online help for information about using Easy CD Creator. Installing Adaptec Software Install two applications from the NEC CD-RW CD: Adaptec Easy CD Creator — allows you to create data and audio CDs. DirectCD — lets you write files directly to the CD in the CD-RW drive.
