    Correcting and Clearing an Expression To delete a single character or function: Move the cursor so it is directly to the right of the character or function you want to delete, and then press Y. To insert a character or function into a calculation: Use d and e to move the cursor to the location where you want to insert the character or function and then input it.

    Replacing the Battery A low battery is indicated by a dim display, even if contrast is adjusted, or by failure of figures to appear on the display immediately after you turn on the calculator. If this happens, replace the battery with a new one. Important: Removing the battery will cause all of the calculator’s memory contents to be deleted.
