CIRCUIT ALIGNMENTS
VIDEO IF ALIGNMENT
PRELIMINARIES

Disconnect power cord from outlet.
Disconnect service tip.
Apply +15V D.C. to terminal "1J''.
Apply +4V D.C. to test point "TP-C'"'.
Connect oscilloscope to test point '"TP-F" through 10K
ohm resistor.
Connect
sweep/marker
generator
output
to 'TP'
on
tuner through matching pad as shown in figure-1.
Apply +5V D.C. to terminal "1D".
ALIGNMENT PROCEDURE

Adjust T1131 for maximum response at 39.5MHz.
Adjust T133 for minimum response at 33.5MHz.
Short between test points ''TP-D' and "TP-E"' with a
damping resistor as shown in figure-2.
. Adjust IFT on tuner for 20% response at 39.5MHz.
. Adjust T101 for 30% response at 35.07MHz.
AFT ALIGNMENT
1. Tune the receiver to an active station.
2. Set AFC switch to off.
3. Rotate Fine Tuning clockwise until noise appears.
4. Set AFC switch to on.
5. Adjust T132 to obtain best picture.

SERVICE TIP

SOUND IF ALIGNMENT
1. Tune the receiver to an active channel and fine tune to
obtain best picture.
2. Adjust SIF det. trans. (T151) for maximum audio with
minimum noise and hum.
