Restoring a Nuisance Channel

Procedure:
To restore the deleted nuisance channel, perform one of the following actions:
Stop and restart a scan.
Mode change to another channel and back to the original channel.
Turn off the radio and then turn it on again.

Call Alert Paging

This feature allows your radio to work like a pager.
If other users are away from their radios or if they are unable to hear their radios, you can send them an
individual call alert page. You can also verify if a radio is active on the system.
Depending on how your radio is programmed, if there is no answer after the maximum ring time or when you
press the PTT button for an Enhanced Private Call, the radio automatically sends a call alert page.
NOTE: This feature must be programmed by a qualified radio technician.

Receiving a Call Alert Page

When and where to use: When you receive a Call Alert page, you hear four repeating alert tones and the
LED blinks green. The call received icons blinks and the display shows Page received.
Procedure:
Press any button to clear the Call Alert page.

Sending a Call Alert Page

When and where to use:
Do one of the following to send a call alert page:
NOTE: If the feature inactivity timer is enabled, your radio automatically exits the feature when your
radio is left idle long enough for the time to expire. You hear the Menu Inactive Exit Tone upon feature
exit.
Procedure:
Sending a call alert page using the preprogrammed Call Alert Paging button:
a. Press the preprogrammed Call Alert Paging button to send a page to the preprogrammed ID.
The display shows Paging...<Number>.
If the call alert page is sent successfully, you hear a tone and the display shows Ack received.
The radio returns to the Home screen.
