REW (Rewlnd/Reverse
Search) Button
Press white the VCP is in Stop mode to
rewind the tape (no picture, no sound).
During tape ptayback, press to begin
Reverse Search; The picture portion of the
tape is played in the reverse direction at
high speed (sound is muted). PressSTOPto
end rewind or search.
Press and hold white Rewind mode to begin
Logic search, you can check what is on the
tape. When released, rewinding resumes.

FF (Fast Forward/Forward Search)
Presswhite the VCPis in the Stop mode to
fastforward the tape (no picture or sound).
Duringtape playback, pressto begin
Forwardsearch; The picture portion of the
tape isplayedat high speed (thesound is
muted).PressSTOP to end Fastforward or
search.
Press and hold whiteFastforward mode to
begin [ogic search, you can check what is
on the tape.When released, F astforwarding
resumes.

10.CassetteLoading Compartment
Insert a VHS videocassette intothe video
cassette compartment untit itis
automaticaLLy drawn intothe VCP.The
cassette can be inserted even when power
isoff.Power turnson automatically and
ptaybackbegins.
CAUTION: DO NOT attemptto insert a
cassette intothe compartmentwhen the
power cord isunptugged.

cassette compartment.
Playinga Video Cassette
• Turn on the IV.
• Ifthe VCP isconnectedto the IV viathe RF
OUT jack,tune the TV to the same channel
(3 or 4) as the Channet 3/4 switchon the
back of the VCP.
• Ifthe connection in mode viathe VCP's
Audio/VideoOut jacks, your IV must be set
to receive audio and video from an auxitiary
source. (Refer to your TV operating
instructions.)
• To view a VHS cassette tape, insert itintothe
cassette compartment.The VCP wit[
automaticat[y turnon, p[aythetape to its
end, rewindthe tape,eject the tape,and shut
off. Ifnecessary, use the TRK (TRACKING)
control t o adjust forthe bestpicture.
Normat TV
Viewing
To watch TV,simplyplaceVCP in TV mode by
pressing TV/VCR on the remote repeatedly u ntil
the TV/VCR indicator t ight disappears from the
VCP frontpaneL. Ifthe IV antenna or cabte-TV
finehas been connectedto the VCP as shown
in thismanual,itssignal wiLL passthroughthe
turned-off V CP unaffected, a s ifconnected
directly to the IV.
