Installing the Battery
Load a fully charged BP-511A battery pack into the camera.
_'_I Open the battery compartment
cover.
_ Slide the lever as shown by the arrow
and open the cover.
'_,_ Insert the battery.
_ Point the battery contacts downward.
_ Insert the battery until it locks into
place.
_ Close the cover.
_ Press the cover until it snaps shut.
[] Battery Pack BP-514-, BP-511, Or BP-512 Can also be used.
Checking the Battery Level
When the <_> switch is set to <ON> or </--> (p.26), the battery
level will be indicated at one of three levels.
: Battery level OK.
: Battery level is low.
-_L--_ _= : Battery must be recharged.
