SAFETY P RECAUtiONS
When using electrical appfiances, basic safety precautions should be foflowed, including the following:

and located in accordance with the Installation
Instructions before it is used.
:); Do not allow children to climb, stand or hang
on the shelves in the reliJgeratoi: They could
damage the reti_igerator and seriously iqim'e
themselves.

compartment when hands are damp or wet,

i)::Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable
\'apo_s and liquids in the vicinity of this or any
other appliance.
::NIn reti_igeratms with automatic icemake_s,
avoid contact with the moving parts of the
ejector mechanism, or with the heating
element located on the bottom of the icemake_:
Do not place finge_s or hands
on the automatic
icemaking mechanism while the reii_igerator
is plugged in.
Kee I) finge_s out of the "pinch point" areas;
clearances between the doo_ and between
the (loots and cabinet are necessarily small.
Be carefld closing doms when children are
in the area.
:)_ Unplug the refl_igerator befin'e cleaning and
making repairs.
NOTE."We strongly recommendthat any servicing be
performedby a quafified individual.
i):: Setting the controls to the 0 (off) position does
not remove power to the light circuit. On some
models, only the reiiigerator control has a
0 (off) setting.
:)_ Do not refl'eeze ti'ozen leeds which have
thawed completely.

Before You Throw Away YourOld
Refrigerator or Freezer:

USEOFEXTENSION CORDS
Because of potential safety hazards under certain conditions, we strongly recommend against the
use of an extension cord.
Howe\'e_; if you IllllSt use }lIl extension cord, it is absohltelv necessary that it be a IUL-listed (in the ILrnited
States) or a CSA-listed (in Canada), 3-wire grounding type appliance extension cord having a gmtmding
type plug and outlet and that the electrical rating (ff the cord be 15 amperes (minimmn) and 120 volts.
