24-Port Multigig Ethernet Ultra60 PoE++ Smart Switch with 4 SFP Ports Hardware Installation
The following procedure describes how to install a separately purchased SFP transceiver
module into the SFP+ port of the switch.
To install an SFP transceiver module or cable:
1. Insert the transceiver or cable connector into the SFP+ port.
A transceiver is shown in the following figure.
2. Grip the sides of the module and slide it straight forward to seat it securely into the
switch connector.
The module makes a click sound when it is firmly seated.
3. (Optional) For a transceiver, lift the transceiver latch to lock the transceiver in place.

Step 6: Connect devices to the switch

WARNING:
This switch is designed for indoor use only. If you want to connect it to a
device located outdoors, the outdoor device must be properly grounded and surge
protected, and you must install an Ethernet surge protector inline between the switch
and the outdoor device. Failure to do so can damage the switch.
