.The flash unit contains a high-voltage
circuit. Do not attempt to take it apart
yourself.
If repairs are necessary, take it
to the nearest authorized Canon Service
Facility.
2. Do not get the flash wet. If it is exposed to
rain or snow, clean it immediately with a
dry cloth.
3. If the 480EG's main switch is set to "I"
when connecting the Transistor Pack E,
the 480EG may not be operated. Set the
main switch to "O", then approx. 2 sec.
after connecting, set it to'T again.
4. Be sure to set the main switch to "O" after
use in order to minimize battery drain.
5. If you use an old Canon Transistor Pack E,
and use full output flash continuously, the
Transistor Pack E's temperature fuse may
stop working. Before using an old Canon
Transistor Pack E, please consult the
nearest authorized Canon Service Facility.
6. In the following conditions, automatic flash
exposure control may not function properly.
Switch to manual flash control.
• tiny subject with extremely dark or far
background
• extremely bright or reflective background
7. If you take close-up photos using a wide-
angle lens, parallax may be caused by the
optical angle between the flash and the
lens optical axis.
8. Do not store the flash in hot or humid
places such as in the trunk or rear window
shelf of a car. Keep it out of direct sunlight.
9. Do not fire more than 20 full power flashes
in succession in manual flash exposure
mode.

II est done dangereux d'essayer de le
demonter soi-meme. Si une reparation est
necessaire, la faire effectuer par le service
apres-vente Canon le plus proche,
2. Ne pas mouiller le flash. S'il est exposd a de la
pluie ou de la neige, I'essuyer immediatement
avec un chiffon propre et sec.
3. Si rintemipteur principal du 480EG est regie
sur "I" lors du raccordement du Bloc
d'alimentation a transistors E, le 480EG ne
peut pas etre utilise. Rcgler Tintemipteur
principal sur "O", puis le ramener sur "I"
environ 2 secondes apres le raccordement.
4. Aprfes utilisation, toujours regler a nouveau
rintemipteur principal sur "O" afin de
minimiser la decharge du bloc d'alimentation.
5. Si un ancien Bloc d'alimentation a transistors E
Canon est utilise et que le flash a pleine sortie
est utilise continuellement, le fusible thermique
du Bloc peut s'arreter de fonctionner. Consulter
le centre de service agree Canon le plus proche
avant d'utiliser un ancien Bloc d'alimentation a
transistors E Canon.
