Format
Use to delete all files completely or to correct
problems on the storage media.
• Do not remove the storage media or perform any
other operation (such as turning oft the power)
during formatting. Also. be sure to use the provided
A(} power adaptor to power the camcorder while
tormatting the storage media The storage media may
be corrupted if the battery becomes exhausted during
tormatting
If the storage media becomes corrupted, tormat it
again.
[i,rr,_] • Do not tormat the storage media on a PQ or other
device Make sure to tormat the storage media on this
camcorder.
• You cannot tormat a memory card with the protection
tab set to lock _page 17
• If there is no storage media inserted, you cannot
select tile Format function, and its name will be
dimmed on the menu.
• Formatting completely deletes all files and options on
a memory card, including protected files By deleting
all files and options, tormatting typically corrects
problems, enabling stable read/write speeds and
operation,
Reset all menu settings to the factory defaults (factory
settings).
Touch Yes if you want all the settings returned to the
Default Set defaults.
'_} • Do not turn oft the power while using this function.
Initializing the camcorder settings to factory detaults
does not aftect recorded images.
Language Select the language the camcorder uses to display

Shew the major demo functions for the cameorder.
• Off: Disables the function.
• On*: Enables the Demo function.
i_11 The Demo mode is canceled in the tollowing cases:
If the L(}D screen is touched.
If you press any button (Recording start/stop,
Home (1_), etc) However, the camcorder enters
Demo the Demo mode automatically atter 5 minutes in STBY
mode if it is idle tor 5 minutes without an operation If
you don't want the Demo function to start, set Demo to
Off.
',_i The Demo function does not work in the following case:
If you set Auto Power Off to 5 Min and you are using
the battery to power the camcorder, the Auto Power
Oft function turns tile camcorder off betore the Derno
function runs,
