switch
Use this switch when listening to
sound at a low volume. The switch
is ON when ''LOUDNESS"' on the
operating mode display lights. In this
mode, the bass and treble are boost-
ed and the sound takes on an extra
"punch" even at low volume levels.
POWER switch
Turns power to the SP-X707 ON/OFF.
SURROUND
ON/OFF switch
Turns surround ON/OFF.
MUTING
switch
Use to temporarily cut off all sound.
SUPER BASS SWITCH
Press this switch to enjoy empha-
sized bass sound. Pressing it once
again turns this function off.

these switches,

different surround sound effects can
be selected.
O00 SURROUND:
This position is specially designed
for watching movies on TV, partic-
ularly video tapes marked with the
symbol, or those having the symbo!
shown at the end of the movie, in-
dicating that the soundtrack
was
recorded using * Dolby noise reduc-
tion.
The
SP-X707
contains
a
decoder
designed
to work
with
Dolby
surround
sources.
The
decoder works to reproduce sound
with all the impact and presence of
a movie theater, in your own home.
THEATER:
When
listening to a movie music
source with this switch position,
you are treated to music sound like
that enjoyed from a seat in a con-
cert hall.
STADIUM:
Depress this switch when listening
to live sports broadcasts, etc. The
resulting sound will make you think
you are sitting right in the stadium.
SIMULATED STEREO:
Depress this switch when using a
monaural
sound
source.
A_ full-
breadth
of rich
sound
can
be
enjoyed.
EXPANDER
switch
Set to this switch when not using
the rear surround speakers in order
to produce surround effects from
the
front
speakers
alone.
In this
way, you can enjoy sound with a
natural breadth and an added sense
of depth without spoiling the impor-
tant sound image placement. The
surround effect can be adjusted by
using the surround volume control.
