OPERATION

Be careful not to drop the disc when a disc is loaded.
° Key operations explained here, may be carried out with keys
on either the player or the remote control unit.
¢ Explanations are given for operations when
using the 6 disc
magazine, but operations are the same when using the single
disc magazine. The only difference is that in the latter case the
disc number keys are not used.
OPERATION FOR NORMAL
PLAYBACK
Playback of all tracks, from the first track on the first disc, to the
last track on the sixth disc.
Operation example
® Start playback
POWER]
—> Insert magazine (disc) -+ | PLAY
1. Carry out "OPERATION
PROCEDURES
BEFORE
PLAYBACK", and insert the magazine.
2. Press the PLAY key (.
The PLAY indicator will light, and playback will begin.

TO SELECT A DESIRED DISC
(DIRECT DISC SELECT OPERATION)

or stop
mode,
select
a disc
number with a DISC NUMBER
keys (0.
NOTE:

* Playback cannot begin from the disc number of a magazine
tray which does not contain a disc.
° With this operation, playback will begin from the first track on
the specified disc.
Operation example
° During stop mode, to playback the second disc.

TO SELECT A DESIRED TRACK
(DIRECT TRACK SELECT OPERATION)
Piayback starts from the selected track and continues to the last
track.
1. During
playback
or stop
mode
select
a track
number with
a TRACK NUMBER keys ().
Track
1 to 10 can be specified directly with the 1 to 10
number keys.
® When specifying track 11 and beyond, press the + 10 key, and
then press one of the 1 to 10 keys to specify the second digit.
Each time the + 10 key is pressed, the number will increase by
a factor of 10. (For 0, use the 10 key.)
¢ To specify track 20 and beyond, press the = 20 key and one of
the 1 to 10 keys for the first digit (for 10, 20, 30, etc) and for
the second digit. (For 0, use the 10 key.) When specifying a
track with the 1 to 10 keys during playback, the selected track
will be searched for immediately. However, the track number
must be selected within 4 seconds after the + 10 key and 220
key is pressed. Otherwise, it will be cancelled.
e During STOP mode,
playback
will begin from
the selected
track on the first DISC.
¢ When a track number of a track not on the disc is selected,
playback starts from the first track.
Operation example
® To play track 3.

¢ These operation are not available in program mode.

during random
playback causes
randam playback to be cancelled.

"disc" will appear in the indicator for about 3
seconds.

1. Press the STOP key (3 or the EJECT key (2.
* When the STOP key {3 is pressed, the player enters the
stop mode. Ail operations stop, and the disc returns to the
magazine.
® When the EJECT key
is pressed, the magazine is also
ejected.

® To temporarily stop playback
